To commemorate the 200 years of Greek Independence 1821-2021, the Greek Mint has produced a special and stunning limited edition collectors coin.

This is the first time in Greece that a collector’s edition medal has been made using this specific technique. The medal is designed like a coin and comprised of three parts, the middle being a blue polymer ring joining the inner and outer parts. One side of the medal depicts the illustration of Theofilos, “Greece Reborn”. The other side depicts the symbol of the Greece 2021 Committee, the title of the celebrations, “200 Years Since the Revolution”, and the symbol of the Hellenic National Mint, IETA. In the outer ring of the medal are the two dates 1821–2021, separated by laurel branches.
